We were thrust into a world of strangers, psychologists, temporary foster homes, other foster kids and lots and lots of trauma and fear. That was the year we entered into the foster care system and our lives would never be the same. Hello, my name is Thomas and I am a former foster child or as one of my friends from the foster care system called us “Foster Alum”. I knew from an early age through all of the chaos and being shuffled around that I was destined for more. That would not be something I thought about until years later but I believe it is the difference maker that has helped me deal with, survive through and ultimately learn to heal through that part of my life. I firmly believe that we are destined for a life of greatness. I have a passion for people and more specifically I have a mission to see people win in life. Especially if you come from a background that would make you an underdog from the start. I like to call those people Overcomers.
